Frequently Asked Questions- 1 day tours

You can choose to get picked up at your hotel in central Tokyo or accommodation closer to Mt Fuji for private tours and either Shinjuku in central Tokyo or at our office outside Gotemba station for group tours!

Day 1 starts with an early morning pick up (usually around 0445 AM for central Tokyo)

The short answer is, Yes! 

In order for a successful 1 day climb, your group must be physically fit, properly equipped and accept that a summit sunrise is not in the cards.

You may leave any luggage you do not need in the van! If you need to change or adjust any equipment, prior to reaching the 5th station (trailhead) of the Fujinomiya trail, we can stop at the Mt. Fuji Guides Office in Gotemba. You may leave any luggage there and pick it up at the end of the tour here too!

However, we cannot allow for everyone to travel with large or large amounts of luggage so please do not bring any suitcases!

Yes! Mt. Fuji Guides offers rental equipment so you do not need to bring all of your hiking gear to Japan!

Rental equipment is limited however is included for no additional charge on Private tours.

We will ask you upon your inquiry.

On Mt. Fuji Guides' group trips, the maximum size is 17 guests with 3 guides.

We will run a trip with a minimum of 5 participants.

Mt. Fuji Guides' group trips have amongst the smallest number of participants out of all guided group tours on Mt Fuji!

Private tours have a maximum size of 6 guests/ guide.
