• Hakone Shrine (Heiwa no Torii): Explore the 1,200-year-old forest shrine and its famous "floating" red gate on the shores of Lake Ashi.

• Hakone Checkpoint (Sekisho): A perfectly restored security gate from the Tokugawa Shogunate, offering a glimpse into Japan's feudal security.

• 09:00 AM | Private Pickup: From your hotel in Hakone, Gotemba, Odawara or Lake Kawaguchi.
• 10:00 AM | The Shogun's Path: A gentle walk on the stone-paved paths of the Old Tokaido.
• 11:30 AM | Ancient Refreshment: Traditional tea at the 400-year-old Amazake-chaya.
• 01:00 PM: Hakone Checkpoint (Sekisho): A perfectly restored security gate from the Tokugawa Shogunate, offering a glimpse into Japan's feudal security.
• 02:00 PM | Volcanic Discovery: Explore the steam vents and active geology of Owakudani via private car.
• 03:30 PM | The Floating Torii: Visit the Hakone Shrine and the lakeside "Gate of Peace."
• 05:00 PM | Return: Private drop-off at your hotel or the Odawara Shinkansen station.

Your journey on the Shogun’s Path takes place primarily outdoors. Please prepare for a day of discovery in the mountain air.

• Comfortable Walking Shoes: While the terrain is manageable, you will be walking on historic stone-paved roads (Ishidatami). Sturdy sneakers or walking shoes with good grip are essential.

• Weather-Ready Layers: Mountain weather in Hakone can change quickly. We recommend bringing a light sweater even in summer, as the cedar forests and volcanic valleys can be significantly cooler than the city.

• Rain Preparedness: We recommend bringing a water-resistant shell which also doubles as a wind layer.

• Sun Protection: Even on overcast days, the UV levels at altitude are higher. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

• Camera/Smartphone: You will encounter some of the most iconic "Postcard Views" in Japan. Ensure your devices are fully charged!
